Chavaleh Pigeon
I found Chavaleh Pigeon on April 27, 2000. She had
fallen out of the nest and was drowning in Town Lake. I had to walk several yards out into
the lake to retrieve her. She was soaked and weak from trying stay afloat. She was
shivering and had swallowed too much water.I quickly dried her off and warmed her up in a towel. We drove
home and kept her dry and warm. I wasn't sure if she would make it, but I was delighted
when she made it through the night. She was too young to eat by herself, so I handfed her
for the next two weeks. She grew quickly and after a couple of weeks, she learned how to fly. Soon she was ready to join the other pigeons. She did quite well and made friends with charming Glinka and sweet Luigi. |
