Marieke Pigeon

Marieke van den Bold Pigeon was rescued by Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. She was about 2 1/2 years old when she came to join our aviary. She lived for one week with my two doves, and she soon began to think of herself as a dove! Here she is pictured trying to share a nest with Angelica Dove! Angelica was not too pleased to have a big pigeon in her nest.

Marieke, my most beautiful and dainty pigeon, joined us on February 10, 2001.
