Musetta's Waltz

I met
Musetta after a late Tuesday evening run September 28. It was dark and only her silhouette
was visible. She was a very young (maybe 6
or 7 days old) abandoned baby. I handfed her for
about twelve days until she could eat on her own. Musetta has grown quite quickly; she's
quite trusting and has a sweet, lively personality. There's nothing like holding a
bird in your hands! What wonderful, magnificent creatures!
Update: On October 10, 1999, Musetta flew for the first time! She's quite brave -- I guess she's a natural!
Final Update: Musetta Bird died on September 29, 2003, in my aviary, of natural causes. Her husband Jolo survives her. She was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
