Starlette joined our family on December 2, 2000. She is a beautiful half-Starling/half-Pigeon rescued by Rogers Wildlife. 

Starlette is curious, affectionate, and very active. She was brought into the rehabilitation center with a severe infection on her beak and cuts to her wings. 

Starlette recovered well in my pigeon sanctuary. Her weight increased by five ounces since I've brought her home. Within a month, Starlette had grown into a beautiful, healthy starling-pigeon. As soon as Starlette was healthy enough to join my other pigeons, I put her in the aviary. She joined the others on January 14, 2001, and within a week, she fell in love with handsome Jean-Pierre pigeon.

Right: Starlette keeps up with current events by watching the nightly news. Her favorite channel is PBS where she watches news and nature shows.
