Tube Feeding a Baby Pigeon

 

You will be making 10 to 20 cc's of formula, depending on the baby's size. For 25 days or older, use 20-25 cc's. Start with 10 cc's if you're not sure. It's better to give smaller quantities more often than risking injuring the crop with too much food.

Put the dry formula in a bowl and add warm water. You will want the formula to be about the thickness of runny oatmeal or maple syrup. It should pour easily, but you'll want enough formula to supply calories.

Be sure to stir the formula well so there are no dry particles.
