To prepare the formula, follow the directions on the container. You will be mixing warm tap water with the formula.

For babies in their first week of life, make the mixture more watery. You'll feed them 1 to 2 cc's every couple of hours. You can gradually increase the amount of formula used for the next three weeks. This amount will probably be 6-20 cc's. Remember to feed older babies every three to four hours. For adults, use at 20 to 30 cc's twice a day.

Measure the formula into the syringe. Using the syringe plunger, push out any extra air. Run warm water over the tubing and attach it to the syringe.
