Backyard Birds
I have five bird feeders, two bird baths, and three squirrel feeders in the backyard. The actual feeding area is enclosed in a three-foot fence because the neighbors' feral cats occasionally get into my backyard. There's one one-story squirrel feeder, and two two-story squirrel feeders, allowing several squirrels to chow down at once, without bothering the birds. I use a mixture of seeds along with peanuts, breads, and
other treats. My regular visitors are white-winged doves, Inca doves,
mourning doves, cowbirds, common grackles, northern grackles, finches,
chickadees, cardinals, blue jays, tufted titmice, red-winged blackbirds,
wrens, and house sparrows. I have one of each of these:
