Mandy's Rescue

Mandy Pigeon was rescued from the Hike and Bike Trail on March 9, 2001. I brought her up to Rogers Wildlife for treatment. She had been hit by a car and was bruised up and very weak. Kathy Rogers put some antibiotic cream on her wounds and dusted her for mites.

Mandy came to my home to rehabilitate. She ate well and within a week was back to her normal self. I made sure that she was back to a healthy weight and able to fly again before I released her.

By March 15, Mandy was fine and getting antsy to go back home. I brought her back out to her home and released her among her friends.
